Climate in August

Transport and parking

  • Take a ferry to any of the South Bank ferry stops and then a 5–10 minute walk, dependent upon the ferry stop.
  • Take the train to South Brisbane station then a 5-minute walk.
  • Take a bus to Merivale, Cordelia or Melbourne Streets or the Cultural Centre Busway—see Translink journey planner at
  • Street parking or under cover parking at the venue—$35 per day (see for further information)

Airport/Hotel transfers

  • Brisbane Airport is approximately 20 km north east of the CBD, a 20–25-minute drive.
  • Easy access to city from domestic and international:

The HEIA(Q) conference organising committee reserves the right to amend the conference program. The conference organising committee, the HEIA(Q), and the Conference Managers will not accept responsibility for any act or omission of speakers from the program.

No liability will be accepted by the conference organising committee, HEIA(Q) or Conference Managers, howsoever sustained by delegates or accompanying persons, for loss or damage caused to delegates’ personal property as a result of the conference or related events, or in the event of industrial disputes.

Privacy policy

  • In providing your e-mail address, you agree to receive e-mail correspondence in relation to this conference.
  • Some of registrants’ personal details may be used to generate a delegate list—that is, name, organisation, address and e-mail address. This will be distributed to other organisations directly related to the conference such as sponsors and trade exhibitors.
  • Please indicate on the registration form if you do not want your details to appear on the delegate list.


  • Photographs will be taken during the conference and used to showcase the event in HEIA publications and/or on its website.
  • Please advise the photographer if you do not wish photographs that include you to be published in HEIA(Q) publications or on its website.

Trade exhibition

We invite you to visit the exhibition in the foyer on the Plaza level of the Centre where morning tea and dessert will be served.
